Planning Your Project with Paramount
We will come to your home for a free estimate to discuss your ideas and offer other possibilities that you may not have realized. All mechanical aspects of the room need to be considered before work begins. This includes plumbing, heating/AC, electrical work, wall and ceiling surfaces, windows, doors, trim and colors of everything. If this is done beforehand your project will run smoothly.
Then we will prepare a written estimate that describes in detail the scope of your bathroom and what materials will be used. Any time-sensitive materials like tile or vanities will be ordered well in advance of your start date.
Depending on the size of your project we may need to bring a dumpster on site; otherwise, we will remove all construction/demolition debris from your home so you don’t have an eye sore sitting in your driveway. Every day the technicians will put down drop cloths to protect your floors. At the end of the day we will clean up and you won’t even know we were there. Meanwhile you relax and our crew will get the work done on time and on budget.
Add a Bath in the Basement
Adding a basement bath is a great way to increase the value of your home. Some basement bathrooms have special challenges because the waste line leaves the house above the floor line; therefore, the waste from the new bath has to be pumped up to the existing waster line. We have 2 ways to overcome this problem. The traditional way is we install a sewer ejector pit and pump. This involves cutting the concrete floor and creating a whole in the floor. Into this hole we install a sewer ejector pit. Then the drainage lines from the new bath are run to the pit and from there the waste is pumped out of the house. Although sometimes this is the only way to add a basement bath, there is a cleaner and less expensive way which is called a Saniflo system.
The Saniflo system allows us to put a bathroom anywhere without the need to cut the concrete and install a sewer ejector pit and pump. The Saniflo works on the same principle as described above except the unique design of the Saniflo toilet eliminates the need for a large underground pit. The Saniflo uses a macerator pump which sits on the existing floor and from there the waste is pumped in a ¾” or 1” line to the main sewer line.

This can be as simple as a tub or shower replacement that gives you safety and peace of mind. Or if you want we can add a walk in tub. In any case grab bars, no or low threshold shower entrance ways, and hand held sprays are just some of things we can add to make your shower safe for your loved ones.
